Serbia: “Luka Novi Sad” diventa ufficialmente operatore portuale
Da giovedi 3 settembre 2015 “Luka Novi Sad”, il porto di Novi Sad, ha ufficialmente ricevuto lo status di operatore portuale, in quanto l’Agenzia statale per la gestione dei porti della repubblica di Serbia ha emesso tutti i certificati necessari.
Come ha sottolineato il direttore del porto di Novi Sad, Aleksandar Milovancev, i permessi e certificati ottenuti sono stati concessi per un periodo di 25 anni. Le attività comprendono: carico e scarico, trasferimento ed invio di carico, trasporto, immagazzinamento, distribuzione e logistica, ha sottolineato Milovancev.
Il porto di Novi Sad è stato fondato nel 1982 e per la sua posizione strategica è di fondamentale importanza non solo per la regione autonoma della Vojovodina, di cui la città di Novi Sad è capoluogo, ma una grande potenzialità per tutta la Serbia.
Il porto di Novi Sad è il primo in Serbia a ricevere il certificato di operatore portuale, ma vi sono 12 altri porti nel paese che potrebbero ottenere i certificati necessari, rendendo il trasporto fluviale più efficente.
Nel porto di Novi Sad vengono trasfertite circa 100.000 tonnellate di merci. Si tratta di circa 1,5 milioni di tonnellate l’anno, dato che indica il successo e l’enorme potenzialità di tale porto, ha sottolineato Vuk Perovic, vice direttore dell’Agenzia per la gestione dei porti della repubblica di Serbia.
Il porto di Novi Sad sorge sul Danubio, il fiume più importante d’Europa e rappresenta il corridoio VII del trasporto europeo. Fa parte del sistema navigabile trans europeo Reno – Meno – Danubio che, con la sua lunghezza delle vie navigabili di 3.505 km, unisce l’Atlantico e il Mediterraneo, collega l’occidente e l’oriente europeo.
Da sempre, sia nel passato che oggi, il Danubio è una via d’acqua di importanza internazionale. Per tanto tempo ha fatto da confine nordorientale dell’Impero romano. Oggi scorre attraverso dieci paesi, talvolta facendo da confine naturale: Germania, Austria, Slovacchia, Ungheria, Croazia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia e Ucraina.
Il Danubio, inteso come Corridoio VII, identifica la grande via d’acqua europea già protagonista dei trasporti fin dal tempo dell’impero austro-ungarico, congiuntamente al Corridoio X, altrettanto riferibile alla fase della dominazione austriaca, altra via di comunicazione per terra che collega Austria, Slovenia, Croazia, Serbia, Repubblica di Macedonia e Grecia.
